Social media, such as; Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, have made users infinitely more connected to each other. This has many positive implications, but such extensive connection, all of the time, can also have major downsides, particularly with regards to mental health, and particularly in the case of children and young people.
Imagine having a tough time at school and, due to social media, that tough time never stopping – whether you’re at school or at home.
This is precisely why a key part of our Education Specialist’s complimentary e-Safety sessions with teachers, parents, and pupils is a discussion around social media. This includes informing parents of how to ensure that their children are using social media safely, and also the types of social media that children are using – some of which parents may not be aware of.
